REFLECTION

One of the best ways to make progress in anything, is to reflect. This is the technique that has yielded the most results in all my years of coaching and of being coached myself. It’s so simple, and yet we so often fail to do it.

When you reflect on something that you just learned, you literally bring it back to mind. What you’re actually doing is re-using new neuro-connections that you formed through the learning process. By simply thinking about it again, you make it easier to remember it, and to act on it.

So let’s reflect, shall we?

Going to Work Happily

I go to work happily in the morning, knowing that (1) I will spend a fruitful day with my team working on meaningful tasks, and (2) I will leave the office at the end of the day and spend the evening with my family and get sufficient rest to prepare for the next day. Weekends belong to me and my family (instead of work).

Making People Happy

Deep inside, maybe I am worried that people do not like myself. If this is a strength, then I would say I like to please everyone and make them happy. Actually, I should let it be and tell myself that it's just an observation and that may be whom I really am and accept it.

I want to create the right balance between my work and private life. This means that the company structure allows everybody to work hard within reasonable working hours without the expectation that long working hours are necessary to get the job done.

Fulfilment and Contribution

I have never been motivated by money. I need fulfilment and to contribute. Our minds, and consequently the world around us, are not in an ideal state. Those of us who are aware of this fact, without becoming despondent, and care enough to do something about it, will need to find work which addresses the issues we all face at their roots and which they can sustainably perform. I’m excited to find my place within the solution to Earth’s troubles and I feel I’m getting closer by the day.

Life has a Purpose

Life has a purpose. It is a gift to be healthy and capable of doing something meaningful. I believe that by finding the work I love I can fully develop my potential and receive satisfactory remuneration in return.

Love My Job

We have to work. The money we get from it, enables us to enjoy life. So why not finding something we love doing while earning a living?!I If you want to love your job, you need to choose something you like doing and that you are good at. My dream is to go to work happy and motivated. Now, what will I gain by pursuing this will be to love my job: happiness, less stress, more fun and more challenge!
